  3. Sorry! Had to edit this:

Nice interview, but........It's still a HUGE letdown!

First, I agree with the Olympic Committee approach.

Stan, my man, very ambitious attempt!

Criteria for being considered for being awarded a jet team?

    1. Financial Matters Squared Away Ahead of Time!

"Hopefully", "Should" and "We're Working On It" aren't what these people are looking for.

There has to be a blue print for the previous years airshows. Time-lines, procedural to-do lists, budgets and costs.

Find the costs, adjust for inflation and work backwards. Include a nice number for the organizers and THEN start looking for 'like minded' partners. There are no shortages of patriots in this part of the world.

The public, as cash strapped as we are, wouldn't mind helping out. If you can just make us believe that our money will be safe, I'm sure you could find 5% of Broward County to let go of a $10 bill. If my calculations are correct, that would be somewhere around $900,000 (In my strange little world, I think I'm being conservative).

We, also, have several NEW highend resort hotels on the beach. I wonder whether the original Air & Sea Show had anything to do with "W", The Ritz-Carlton, Hilton chosing Ft Lauderdale beach. All of these hotels can be publicly humiliated & villified or admired & thrust upon a pedistal by the Local Media based on their level of cooperation. Since they stand to prosper the most, what with all the Pre-show hoopla, formal Galas & Black-tie affairs, not to mention full hotels. Stepping up to the plate is the least they could do!

    But, what do I know....?

I know we all want an Airshow.

    Thanks! Keep going!!

  5. The City should enlist Red Bull to run their air race off the beach. Now THAT would be a heck of a show!!
